Why I designed it

There’s something deeply satisfying about a leash that just feels right in your hand. The weight. The balance. The way it moves with you, not against you.

With the Kaia leash, I wanted to create something that felt calm. Confident. Understated but unmistakably well made. A leash that didn’t just match the Kaia collar – but matched the way you want to walk through the world with your dog.

What it took to get right

We selected premium nubuck leather for its velvety texture and natural strength. It’s soft to the touch, yet structured enough to hold its shape over time. The hand stitching reinforces every seam, while the solid brass hardware adds both function and quiet beauty.

At 2 meters, the leash gives freedom without losing control – and the 2 cm width offers a firm, steady grip without feeling heavy. Every detail is there for a reason. Nothing extra. Nothing missing.
