Sometimes the simplest need sparks the biggest idea.

After launching the original Lara car seat, I kept hearing the same request: “Do you have something bigger?” Many customers had two dogs – or one large one – and needed the same comfort, security and calm that Lara offered, just in XXL format.

So I went back to the drawing board. Same soft comfort. Same practical details. Just… more of everything.

Designing big is not just about scaling up. It’s about rethinking how dogs use space, how seats stay stable, and how materials respond to weight and movement.

We reinforced the base, reshaped the front to fold smoothly, and tested it with two dogs side by side (yes, Alba had company). We added two safety belts, one on each side, and made sure the front fold-down feature created both freedom and comfort – whether they want to peek out or curl up.

The result is a secure, roomy space that feels more like a little cabin than a car seat.

Lara XXL gives larger dogs – or bonded pairs – the room they need without compromising on design or safety.

Customers say it’s a game changer for longer rides: the dogs relax faster, stay secured, and even nap. The fold-down front gets special praise – some dogs use it to watch the world go by, others treat it like a cozy den.
