Instead of rawhide, these chews are made from natural bovine gelatin and collagen from beef hide, making them significantly easier to digest – even for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

Why we made it

We wanted to create a chew that dogs not only enjoy, but truly benefit from. Traditional rawhide can be tough on many stomachs, so we set out to develop a natural alternative based on collagen – a nutrient dogs already thrive on. Barkii Collagen Chews are our answer to a healthier, more digestible and well-thought-out chew that supports the body instead of stressing it.

How we got it just right

We tested countless combinations of collagen, shape, texture and drying time to find the perfect balance: a chew that’s firm enough to last, yet gentle enough to digest easily. The natural bovine gelatin gives it the ideal elasticity, while we fine-tuned the crunch so it helps clean teeth and feels satisfying to bite into. Finally, we added a mild but irresistible chicken flavour – and the formula was complete.

Noa, the designer and owner of STAEY, lives in Denmark and has a deep passion for combining aesthetic design with functional dog accessories.

With STAEY, I set out to not only meet the essential needs of every dog owner but also to create a wide range of beautifully designed products. High quality is not just a goal – it is an absolute foundation in everything I do.

Design process

Even the best ideas start as a simple thought. When inspiration strikes – often right at the dining table – I grab my pencil and start sketching.

From there, the process becomes intensive. Our skilled sewing team spends weeks developing prototypes, while I fine-tune and test every detail until everything is just right. Only when I am 100% satisfied, do we move forward with production.

That feeling of seeing my designs being purchased by you or spotting them on the streets is nothing short of magical.
